Franciacorta is an Italian classic method sparkling wine, often considered the Italian alternative to Champagne, but Franciacorta is not the only Italian classic method, method that consist in the secondary fermentation taking place in the bottle, there are plenty more, with whole regions producing classic method sparkling wines and also individual producers.
The Franciacorta Zerum is a Franciacorta aged for at least 9 years in the La Valle cellar. Produced in very limited quantity and only in exceptional vintages, is made only with best grapes of Chardonnay and takes its name from the fact that no sugar is added, Zerum means “zero” in Latin. This Franciacorta is an amazing wine, full of character, with an intense and very complex nose, elegant, delicate, for a very special meal or simply to be sipped and enjoyed on its own. A great sparkling wine.
