Barbera d'Asti Superiore "Sopra Berruti", l'Armangia

Barbera d’Asti can be a very average red wine, too often, and wrongly, considered a cheaper alternative to the barbera d’Alba, but it is not the case here.

This Barbera d’Asti Superiore is not your typical barbera, even when compared to good Barbera d’Asti or Alba, this is not what you would expect when purchasing a Barbera d’Asti, this red wine is richer, more complex, bigger, made by blending two different Barbera wines, one that has been kept in steel tanks and another one that has been aged in oak.

The result is a fantastic Barbera d’Asti Superiore with the typical characteristics of the wine, fruity and with lively acidity, but also a more complex nose with firm, soft tannins and an elegant palate.

Barbera d‘Asti is much more, read about the hundreds shades of the wine.
